Position Overview
The role of the Client Care Specialist (CCS) is to strengthen the human-animal-veterinary bond through exceptional care. Your role is vital to the success of our hospital as you are the first and last contact the client has with us whether it is in person or on the phone. As a representative of Halifax Veterinary Hospital it is your primary job to ensure that the client and their pet feel welcomed, expertly cared for, and immensely appreciated. As a CCS your position involves patient and client care, administrative duties, and general housekeeping duties.
Skills Required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with a variety of typical office equipment such as a computer and multiple types of software and social media tools, phone, fax email, etc.
- Prior knowledge of or the ability to learn medical terminology and Veterinary software programs is an asset
- Ability to work equally effectively with or without supervision
- Coachable, eager learner
- Possess great attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- The ability to connect with people in a genuine, friendly, and compassionate manner.
- You will be required to perform basic math calculations.
- Enthusiasm, self motivation, and empathy are necessary to excel at this job.
- You should be people oriented, able to prioritize and work calmly under pressure.
- Adaptability and flexibility are key traits to possess in this role.
- Previous experiencing as a Client Care Specialist or Customer Service Representative is required.
Educational Requirements:
- Graduation from high school or GED program
-Previous client care / customer service experience is required
