HOURS OF WORK:
The stated hours of work are approximate as schedules are subject to change with the operational needs of the Health Centre. Changes made to hours of work will follow the terms of the applicable collective agreement, company policy and/or legislation.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Member of the Corporate Services team, providing financial accounting services for the Health Centre’s patients, staff, and physicians while ensuring an effective system of financial control. This position will assume key responsibilities to ensure accurate and timely billings and collections for patients, physicians and employees and other clerical functions in the department.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- 2 Year College Diploma in an Accounting or Business admin with accounting specialty required or equivalency achieved through education and experience
- Minimum 1-year work experience in a similar accounts receivable clerk role, within the last 5 years required.
- Health care experience preferred
- OHIP Billing Certificate preferred
- Epic experience is an asset
- Customer service experience with the public preferred
WHO YOU ARE:
- Demonstrated basic knowledge of the Microsoft office suite and good computer skills
- Demonstrated customer focused/driven attitude and positive customer philosophy
- Accurate keyboarding skills (40 wpm)
- Able to use standard office equipment including a computer, laser printer, label printer, fax machine, multifunction photocopier, mailing machine, calculator, and telephone.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and follow current privacy regulations.
- Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively over the telephone, with patients/families, staff and physicians and the community
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and use good judgement when making decisions
- Demonstrated good team work skills and ability to work collaboratively and promote a positive attitude within the team
- Excellent organizational, problem solving and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work with precision and accuracy with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated patience and flexibility to support multiple client demands

- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task when facing multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
