Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the designated location, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires strong time management skills, the ability to communicate effectively with team members and a commitment to delivering high-quality cleaning services.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in commercial and custodial settings, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete cleaning tasks.
- Conduct thorough inspections of facilities to identify areas needing attention or maintenance.
- Handle heavy lifting as required for moving furniture or equipment during cleaning processes.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns from facility occupants professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and within designated timeframes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Ability operate cleaning equipment safely.
- Attention to detail with a strong commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Criminal Record required upon hiring.
- WHMIS Certification required upon hiring.
Cleaning Schedule
- Once weekly (weekend -:Can start Friday evening after 4 p.m.) approximately 3.5 hours
