Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all staff and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on quality and efficiency. 6 hours weekly is to be broken between a Sunday afternoon/evening full clean, followed by end of week spot check and touch up on Thursday or Friday.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of all areas within the facility.
- Conduct commercial cleaning duties such as restroom sanitation, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies.
- Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to management.
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning duties to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete special projects or deep cleaning initiatives as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in cleaning or custodial roles is preferred, particularly in commercial settings.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
