Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chiropodist to join our healthcare team of Physiotherapists, Acupuncturists, Osteopaths, Naturopaths, Psychotherapists and Massage Therapists. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating foot-related conditions, providing acute care, and managing pain effectively. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient care, particularly in pediatrics and home care settings. The Chiropodist will also engage in research activities to enhance treatment methodologies and contribute to the overall improvement of patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose foot-related conditions through thorough examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, focusing on pain management and rehabilitation.
- Administer medications as required, ensuring adherence to medical protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records using Jane.
- Provide education to patients regarding foot health, preventive measures, and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a hospital or home care environment to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Conduct data collection for ongoing research initiatives aimed at improving chiropody practices and patient outcomes.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in medical terminology and chiropody practices.
Qualifications
- Degree in Podiatry or related field with relevant licensure to practice as a Chiropodist.
- Experience in acute care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with pediatric care is an advantage.
- Proficient in medication administration and understanding of medical terminology.
- Strong analytical skills for effective data collection and research participation.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Pay: $35.00-$70.00 per hour
