Heritage Family Services is seeking compassionate and reliable Awake Night Child and Youth Care Workers to join our team in Red Deer, AB.
This role is ideal for individuals who are naturally dependable, proactive, and display a strong commitment to supporting children and youth. You will play a key role in providing safety, stability, and emotional support through consistent overnight supervision and care.
What We’re Looking For:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have completed or are currently enrolled in a Human Services or Social Work-related program (certificate, diploma, or degree)
- You are willing to undergo all pre-employment checks, including:
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
- Child Intervention Check
- Class 5 Driver’s License and Driver’s Abstract (less than 6 demerits)
- You value and respect Indigenous cultural practices and understand the importance of culturally appropriate care
- You demonstrate inclusive values, with a strong understanding of diverse communities, identities, genders, and pronouns
- You are confident working across cultures and with individuals from marginalized communities

Mandatory Requirements:
If you are selected as the successful candidate, you will be required to provide the following documents as a condition of employment upon receiving the job offer
A Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector) that is dated within the last 6 months
A Child Intervention Check that is dated within the last 6 months
Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
Class 5 Alberta Government Issued Driver’s License
A Driver's Abstract that is dated within the last 6 months
Copy of education listed in resume.
