We are seeking candidates with at least 2 years experience in hospitality and event management. Administrative, supervisory and coordinator experience is also beneficial for all applicants.
You will be responsible for sales and coordination of food and beverage services on behalf of WOW Catering Inc. at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. This position involves liaising with venue partners, our clients and our events staffing team to ensure all needs are met and that as a company, we are providing exemplary event experiences and are profitable.
Some responsibilities of this position are, but not limited to...
· Field sales calls and seek out new business opportunities
· Participate in client site visits
· Guide guests with menu selections (food, wine, bar), create event orders and estimates
· Communicate with the Chef on events, special requests and dietary requirements
· Communicate with the banquet supervisor and museum team on event set ups
· Client deposits, invoicing and processing payments – relaying this information to Accounting at Head Office
· Schedule and/or serve trial dinners for clients, when applicable
Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour

Experience:
- Banquet and/or catering: 2 years (preferred)
- Hospitality management: 2 years (preferred)
