Do you have a genuine passion for looking after customers? Are you currently a Field Representative or looking to make the change to be one? We are recruiting for a Casualty Field Representative to join our Atlantic Protect team to handle casualty claims.
The Field Representative role is to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle Casualty claims in accordance with Aviva's procedures and philosophy. We have a strong focus on strategic indemnity and expense management, in addition to excellent customer service. Your territory will cover mainland Nova Scotia and your workload will be a mixture of your own pending along with task work from your peers.

What You’ll Do:
- Interpret and confirm insurance coverage.
- Investigate, evaluate, and settle Casualty claims with claimants or their representatives.
- Manage field assignments/investigations on your own files as well as task assignments within the region.
- Attend loss locations for scene investigations and complete in person interviews.
- Ensure file reserves are timely and accurate on.
- Proactively manage communication with our customers and stakeholders.
- Clearly document and summarize file activity.
- Understand and support Aviva’s claim procedures and guidelines .
- Collaborate effectively with various claims teams, legal, vendor partners.
What You’ll Bring:
- 3 plus years of experience handling Casualty claims
- University degree or equivalent
- CIP or working towards CIP.
- Currently licensed or qualifies to be licensed to handle Casualty Claims in all Atlantic Provinces
- Bilingual French and English is a strong asset
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong working knowledge of Personal and Commercial liability claims
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Well-developed organizational skills
- Strong ability to be flexible in your approach, adaptable to the customers’ needs and show utmost integrity
- Committed team player with a positive outlook and sense of humor
