Event Security Guard – Job Overview
We are seeking vigilant and professional Event Security Guards to join our team. As an essential part of our event operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and property during various public and private events. The ideal candidate will be proactive, customer-service oriented, and able to handle high-pressure situations with confidence and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Monitor event premises through strategic patrols and active surveillance to prevent unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
- Operate and monitor CCTV and other surveillance equipment as required during the event.
- Maintain high visibility to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to guests.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to incidents, emergencies, or alarms, and coordinate with event management and emergency services when needed.
- Conduct bag checks, ID verification, and access control at event entry and exit points.
- Ensure all event safety protocols and venue regulations are followed by guests and staff.
- Provide clear and courteous assistance to guests, offering directions or support when needed.
- Complete detailed incident reports and communicate any issues to the event supervisor or site manager.
Requirements
- Prior experience in event security or crowd control is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with crowd management and access control procedures.
- Strong situational awareness and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with guests and staff.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in busy or noisy environments.
- Must possess a valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Must be able to pass background checks in accordance with company standards.
- Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
