We are currently recruiting for a couple casual Personal Support Workers to assist our male employer who is quadriplegic and needs assistance in all activities of daily living.
Our employer is a very nice person in his late 50s. He’s cheerful and has a positive outlook on life and is a good employer as he has had caregivers stay with him for years.
Location:
- Fort St. John (Near Lido Theatre)
Shifts & Hours of Work:
- CASUAL worker needed must have availability on evenings and weekends
- Morning Shift - 8:30AM - 11:30AM
- Afternoon Shift - 3:00PM - 5:00PM
- Evening - 6:30PM - 10:00PM (sometimes 6:30PM - 10:30PM)
Compensation:
- $26.00 per hour
Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
- Assist with full personal care including bowel routines, ADLs, showering, dressing, washroom care, grooming
- Assist the client with transfers using ceiling lift
- Meal preparation and assisted eating
Required Qualifications:
- Driver’s License (Class 5) is required
- Able to drive wheelchair accessible van
- Willingness to be trained
- Physically fit and capable of performing duties
- Applicant must have a reliable vehicle (no public transportation)
