Job Summary
Souk Tabule is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing transactions, assisting with dine-in, takeout, and marketplace sales, and supporting a seamless guest experience, including delivering food to tables. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong multitasking skills, and enjoys providing warm hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, efficient service.
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments using a POS system.
- Assist with dine-in, takeout, and marketplace sales, ensuring guests receive their orders efficiently.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Souk Tabule’s menus, promotions, and services, providing accurate information and recommendations to guests.
- Deliver food to guests' tables after orders are placed at the counter.
- Provide information about the menu, specials, and marketplace products.
- Assist with maintaining an organized and stocked marketplace area.
- Keep the cashier and service area clean and organized.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally, escalating when needed.
- Support the team with general restaurant operations as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience as a cashier, server, or in a fast-casual restaurant is an asset.
- Smart Serve certification is required.
- First Aid certification is an asset.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Ability to handle cash and process transactions efficiently.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain calm and composed during peak service times.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Toast, is considered an asset.
