Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for order processing and payment transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure the health and safety of customers.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and order accuracy.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or the food industry is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures is a plus.
- Basic math skills are essential for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers and team members.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
