Responsibilities:
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and provide correct change.
- Scan and bag groceries carefully, ensuring proper handling of all items.
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service, answering questions and assisting with their shopping needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including those related to loss prevention and food safety.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous cashier or customer service experience in a retail or grocery setting is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle transactions accurately.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays and on call.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week
