We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
- Accurately process sales transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy.
- Maintain an organized and clean checkout area.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding products and promotions.
- Manage time efficiently to minimize wait times during busy periods.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking as required.
- Uphold company policies regarding cash handling and security procedures.
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales or as a cashier is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to handle peak hours efficiently.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to sell products by understanding customer needs and preferences.
