Job Title: Experienced Carpenter / Siding Installer / Lead Hand

Job Description:
West Royal Contracting is seeking a dependable and experienced Carpenter / Lead Hand to join our team full-time. This role involves leading a laborer, working independently on a range of projects, and participating in both general carpentry and siding installation.
We’re looking for someone who is confident on site, takes pride in quality work, and is open to taking on a variety of tasks across residential, agricultural, and exterior projects.
Responsibilities:
General Carpentry & Site Work:
- Lead and supervise a laborer on-site
- Perform framing, forming, sheeting, and subfloor repairs
- Rebuild decks and complete structural post repairs
- Handle demo of homes and older structures
- Work on agricultural projects including barn roofing and framing
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
Siding Work:
- Install Hardie siding (lap, panel, and soffit)
- Work with rainscreen systems, flashings, and caulking
- Cut and seal siding ends properly (training provided if needed)
- Follow layout and install procedures with accuracy
- Support large-scale siding projects with consistent quality
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of carpentry experience preferred
- Ability to lead a laborer and work independently
- Willingness to learn and complete siding installations
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of basic safety practices (Fall Protection certification is an asset)
