Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Support clients with medication reminders and health monitoring.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with conditions such as dementia or those receiving hospice care.
Skills
- Strong understanding of caregiving principles and practices.
- Experience in senior care, including knowledge of dementia care techniques.
- Ability to perform patient care tasks with compassion and respect.
- Familiarity with assisted living environments and nursing home settings.
