Cake Decorator/Baker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and creative Baker/Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and artistic cake decorating, with experience in producing a variety of baked goods, including custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and pastries. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods including cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and pastries from scratch or mixes.
• Decorate cakes and other baked goods using buttercream, fondant, ganache, royal icing, and other mediums.
• Design and execute custom cake orders to meet client specifications for weddings, birthdays, and other special occasions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and decorating areas, following health and safety standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies; assist with ordering as needed.
• Collaborate with the team on new product ideas, seasonal offerings, and display presentation.
• Ensure consistency in quality, portioning, and presentation of all baked goods.
• Package and label finished products for sale or delivery.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal culinary or baking education preferred.
• Proven experience as a baker and cake decorator (portfolio of past work is a plus).
• Knowledge of baking techniques and safe food handling procedures.
• Creative flair with excellent attention to detail and design.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Team player with a positive, customer-oriented attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
