We are currently seeking a reliable and energetic Cafeteria Worker to join our team. This role involves preparing and serving simple breakfast and lunch items, handling customer transactions, stocking inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and service area. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing great food and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve breakfast items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, and hashbrowns
- Cook grill-style lunch foods including burgers, fries, hot and cold sandwiches, soups, and salads
- Brew and serve large volumes of coffee throughout the day
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately cash out customers
- Restock shelves, fridges, and prep stations with food and beverage items
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain cleanliness in food prep, serving, and dining areas
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen or cafeteria experience is an asset but not required
- Comfortable handling cash, debit, and credit transactions
- Ability to cook simple meals with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work standing for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Friendly and customer-focused attitude
Schedule:
- Shifts between 6:30 AM and 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- No evening or weekend shifts
