Design Exteriors Inc. is an established exterior cladding manufacturer/contractor in VAUGHAN, ON. We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter for our to join our dynamic team. Experience in ACM and Siding drafting is a MUST for this position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and project managers. The CAD Drafter will play a crucial role in the design process, ensuring that all specifications are met accurately.
Duties
- Develop and prepare detailed drawings and schematics using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Create 3D models and visualizations using tools like SolidWorks or Sketchup.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from team members or clients.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all drafting work.
- Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and project documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations as needed.
Experience
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks, SolidWorks, MicroStation, Sketchup, or Civil 3D is essential.
- Previous experience in drafting or design roles is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
- Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and practices.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
