Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of cable systems, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of telecommunication systems and the ability to work with various tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair cable systems, including low voltage wiring and telecommunication equipment.
- Perform maintenance on existing cable infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to complete installations and repairs effectively.
- Work with Ethernet networks and routers to set up and maintain computer networking systems.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working in various environments, including residential and commercial settings.
Skills
- Proficient in Ethernet networking principles and practices.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools for installation tasks.
- Familiarity with telecommunication systems, including telephony services.
- Basic electrical experience is preferred for troubleshooting electrical components related to cable installations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
