We are looking for a full-time Bulk Chemical Transloader to join our busy Future Transfer team!
Responsibilities:
- Bulk trans-loading to and from tankers and railcars of chemicals and waste products
- Communicating maintenance of facilities and equipment to proper authorities
- Steam railcars when required
- Strip railcars and reinstall all fittings to seal properly prior to shipping
- Shunting and staging of railcars
- Shunting trucks
- Loading and shipping of various products
- Fill, decant and blend bulk product in different units of containment
- Complete quality assurance paperwork as required
- Maintain inventory of on-site products
- Calibrating equipment, as required
- Matching BOL to physical shipment
- Ensuring physical inventory is accurate, performing random audits on inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse by implementing daily housekeeping habits
- Distribution of product, stage loads for shipment
- Other related duties as required or assigned
- Ability to be “on call” as required for weeknights and weekend
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to adapt to quickly changing conditions and requirements
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight timelines in a professional manner
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Able to work efficiently as part of the team as well as independently
- Experience with shunting trucks and trailers, as well as railcars, is an asset
- One (1) year bulk transloader experience required
- One (1) year counterbalance forklift experience required
Working Conditions:
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Ability to work outside in any weather conditions
- Manual and physical dexterity to work on or under railcars and tankers
- Overtime as required
- Able to identify any health and safety issues
