Building Official I, II, and III Overview
The Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRO) is currently inviting applications for the position of Building Official I, II, or III with a preference given to Building Official III. The Building Official I and II will inspect all types of construction to ensure building and plumbing codes and other related bylaws are substantially observed and advise clients on building related matters. The Building Official III will examine applications for building permits to determine conformity to the BC Building Code, zoning bylaws, easements and covenants and other specifications, and advise clients on building related matters. Compensation and Benefits

This is a bargaining unit position, working 35 hours per week, with the following wage rates:
Building Official I $45.32 per hour
Building Official II $47.13 per hour
Building Official III $49.02 per hour
