Brake Press Operator – Day Shift
MSS Steel Inc is a well-established and long-standing steel services provider of laser cutting, plasma/oxyfuel cutting, forming and machining, is currently hiring a skilled Brake Press Operator for our day shift. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1-2 years related experience (Knowledge of Dimond BH press brake is an asset) – and will be required to efferently setup and bend parts according to supplied shop drawings.

Job Duties:
- Perform set-ups and die changes when required by job.
- Work with steel 1.5mm to 30mm thick.
- Read and interpret blue prints and schematics to produce various configurations.
- Measures and verifies dimensions of work piece.
- Interpret precise measuring instruments, and measure parts for proper specification.
- Checks product for correct shape, dimension and other specifications.
- Perform quality inspection for all parts and components produced by ensuring correct sizes, flatness, and tolerances for the Customer.
- Completion of work orders required for shift in a timely fashion, following the correct order schedule.
- May be required to grind laps or burrs from edges of work piece.
- Ensure packaging is properly set up as specified by the Customer (if packaging is required).
- Document completed work.
- Clean and lubricate equipment as required.
- Follow strict quality control procedures.
- Follow good housekeeping practices.

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
