The Opportunity
Whether you're just starting out in bookkeeping or looking to stay engaged after retirement, this is a great role to either build experience or keep your skills sharp. Gain practical, full-cycle bookkeeping experience that’s often hard to find in entry-level roles.
We’re looking for a Bookkeeper to support both our internal team and a few valued clients. You’ll work closely with our Controller and other experienced professionals, gaining exposure to the full bookkeeping cycle. Flexible work arrangements, including full-time, part-time or semi-retirement hours, are absolutely an option!

Your Day to Day
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks such as A/P, A/R, payroll, and bank and credit card reconciliations
- Record transactions, issue invoices, and track and collect receivables
- Assist with budget tracking and cash flow forecasting
- Support monthly and year-end financial processes
- Maintain financial filing systems, processes and compliance documentation
- Occasionally visit client sites as needed for bookkeeping support
- Help out with basic office admin tasks when needed
- Recording cash receipts and making bank deposits Issuing invoices to customers
- Supporting the processing if payroll
- Maintain data up to date in rolling cashflow and budgeting tools
- Maintain the petty cash fund
- Manage the collection of sales taxes from customers and ensure timely remittance to government authorities
Experience You Bring
- Basic knowledge of bookkeeping (we’ll train the right person!)
- QuickBooks Desktop / Online or Sage experience
- Good with numbers, spreadsheets, and details
- Tech-savvy, including strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (some travel to client sites)
- Knowledge of bookkeeping best practices
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Relevant university degree or college diploma in an accounting related field
