We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our global accounting team at Zonda. The Billing Specialist will play a key role in the generation of client invoices across multiple foreign and domestic business units. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely billing, collaborating with internal teams to resolve billing issues, providing excellent customer service, and working closely with the global client collections department. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivator with a strong background in accounts receivable and the ability to work with clients on sensitive financial matters.
What You’ll Do
- Reporting directly to the Billing Manager, this role will be a key contributor to the customer billing processes across business units.
- Responsible for generating accurate and timely invoices for clients, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, billing guidelines, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and internal stakeholders alike.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client billing inquiries from various business units, providing detailed explanations and resolving issues to maintain positive client relationships.
- Collaborate with the Collections Team to address billing-related inquiries and disputes, ensuring seamless information flow between billing and collections functions.
- Demonstrate flexibility and learning agility as role will require tasks across multiple billing platforms and currencies.
- Continuously evaluate the billing processes to help Billing Manager identify areas of improvement.
- Undertake ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
- Must be comfortable with working remotely and a self-motivator.
Who You Are
- Proven experience in accounting/finance or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of billing and accounts receivable processes.
- Proficient in the use of various accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on excellent customer service.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multi-task.
- Experience working with multiple currencies.
- Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite preferred.
