Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Bender Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various machinery and equipment, ensuring high-quality production standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities
- Operate Bending Machines: Set up and operate aluminum bending machines (e.g., press brakes, roll benders) to form aluminum components according to specifications.
- Read Blueprints & Drawings: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine bending requirements.
- Machine Setup: Install proper dies, tools, and fixtures on the bending machines for each job.
- Material Handling: Load, align, and secure aluminum materials onto machines for precise bending.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy in dimensions, angles, and tolerances.
- Adjustments: Make necessary machine adjustments to maintain quality and reduce material wastage.
- Tool Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools to ensure operational efficiency.
Experience
- 1-3 Years of Bending Machine Operation: Hands-on experience operating aluminum or metal bending machinery such as press brakes, tube benders, or roll benders.
- Experience in Aluminum or Metal Fabrication: Background in working with aluminum materials, understanding their properties, and handling techniques.
- Blueprint and Drawing Interpretation: Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Machine Setup and Calibration: Experience in setting up bending machines, selecting appropriate tooling, and calibrating for specific bending angles and tolerances.
- Quality Control Practices: Familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, gauges, protractors) to verify dimensions and ensure accuracy.
- Manufacturing or Production Environment: Previous work experience in a fast-paced manufacturing, production, or fabrication facility.
- Knowledge of Safety Protocols: Understanding of workplace safety standards related to machine operation and material handling.
