Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Salon Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy nail and beauty salon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nail services, staff supervision, client service, and basic marketing knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily salon operations and coordinate staff schedules
- Perform nail services when needed to ensure consistent quality
- Train new staff and maintain service standards across the team
- Manage inventory and restock salon supplies when necessary
- Ensure compliance with provincial health and safety regulations
- Handle client complaints and feedback professionally
- Create and manage social media content (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook)
- Assist with marketing campaigns, promotions, and online booking systems
- Design basic digital content (posters, ads, promotions) using Canva or similar tools
- Perform daily cash-out duties including reconciliation of cash, POS, and e-transfers
- Record daily revenue and expenses, maintain simple bookkeeping and cash reports
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in nail services
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or management role
- English fluency (spoken and written)
- Experience with customer service and team coordination
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic design tools
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if required
- Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
Assets (Preferred but not required)
- Previous experience in a Canadian salon
- Knowledge of booking tools (e.g., SimplyBook, Wix Booking)
- Experience working in multicultural or customer-focused environments
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
