Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our Togo Coffee team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, ensuring that every guest has a delightful experience. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly.
- Handle food safely, ensuring all items are prepared in accordance with food handling guidelines.
- Manage time effectively to ensure quick service during peak hours while maintaining quality.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the shift.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or as a Barista.
- Experience in hand-brewed coffee (pour-over) is a must.
- Experience with hand-brewing methods.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
