Be part of a well-regarded downtown Whitby café known for artisanal excellence located in downtown Whitby. We are a French inspired café with freshly baked croissants and pastries. We also serve espresso based beverages, teas, iced drinks and much more.
We’re seeking a passionate Barista who thrives in a fast-paced café environment and has a solid command of espresso-based beverage preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate espresso machines to prepare hand‑crafted espresso based drinks and knowledge of these beverages is mandatory.
- Work reliably at opening and closing shifts. Must also work at least one weekend day.
- Stand for the duration of shifts; lift and stock supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout service: cleaning workspaces, equipment, and tools after use.
- Keep the café environment inviting and organized.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with espresso equipment and crafting espresso-based beverages.
- Dependable, punctual attitude with a commitment to quality.
- Comfortable working mornings, evenings, and one weekend day.
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift/store supplies.
- Excellent time management and ability to thrive under pressure.
- Team player mindset; willingness to support the café’s high standards.
Compensation & Schedule
