24 Carrots Bakery is a busy, wholesale and retail bakery located on Kempt Rd. in Halifax. We are locally owned and operated and have been producing quality breads and baked goods for many of Halifax’s top restaurants, hotels, and cafes for the past 31 years.
We have an immediate opening for a permanent, full-time packager on our Pastry Team. Preferred candidates will have a current food handlers certificate, and experience working in a commercial food establishment.
We are seeking a candidate who works well independently, pays attention to detail, can organize and package a wide variety, and large volume of baked goods, ensuring specifications are followed, and orders are filled correctly. The position also includes responsibility for daily assigned cleaning duties.
Position requirements:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Excellent organizational and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work in a physical job that involves standing, walking, bending, lifting and carrying 20 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks well and in a consistent manner.
- Current Food Handler Certificate preferred.
- Bakery experience considered an asset.
Shifts are Monday thru Friday, beginning at 10:00 AM. Approx 32 -35 hours per week.
