The Bail Verification and Supervision Program is hiring two (2) Bail Services Group Facilitator for the Peel and Halton region. The positions are an 8 month contract role, 35 hours/week, with a potential start date of August 18th, 2025.


The primary role of the Bail Services Group Facilitator is for counseling and group facilitation within the Peel, Halton, and Dufferin regions. This position is responsible for supporting individuals by providing early intervention and prevention programming. This role requires the management of a caseload, facilitation of programs, completion of assessments, and execution of related administrative duties.


Duties/Responsibilities/Procedures
Counselling/Case Management:
  • Maintain a minimum caseload of clients under supervision, including those who are self-referred or directed through court-recommended programming.
  • Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop strategies to reduce recidivism.
  • Assist clients in creating personalized action plans that address dynamic risk factors, highlight strengths, and support protective factors.
  • Identify needs requiring external interventions and make appropriate referrals if needed.
  • Participate in formal and informal case conferences and team meetings.

Workshop Facilitation:
  • Facilitate required workshops for clients referred to the Anger Management Program
  • Maintain current knowledge on cognitive skills-based programming
  • Develop/maintain handouts, resources and support materials for use in group programs
  • Ensure availability and accuracy of handouts, resources, and support materials
  • Distribute and collect evaluations to determine the effectiveness of materials

Documentation/Administrative:
  • Ensure case management practices, as outlined in Minimum Standards, are followed, including the completion and accurate recording of all documentation.
  • Maintain client files in a timely and efficient manner, including assessments, notes, reports, and statistical information.
  • Compile and submit monthly statistical data to the agency.
  • Provide comprehensive reports to management as required.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with all existing collateral agencies and organizations.

Working Conditions and Environment
  • Maintain workplace confidentiality and work within the policies and procedures as outlined in program and policy manuals, while respecting the mission, vision, and principles of the agency
  • Demonstrate integrity and respect as it applies to the role as a representative of the agency
  • Work in a spirit of congeniality with all staff
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of resources/services available in the community which could be of assistance to the clients and staff
  • Ability to comply with deadlines as directed by management
  • Participate in team meetings and other committees as needed
  • Participate in relevant training opportunities to keep skills and frame of reference current/effective
  • Represent the agency at community events, public speaking engagements, etc. at the direction of management

Personal Skills/Attributes required for the position:
  • Completion of post-secondary education in a related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of case management experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with computer literacy
  • Reliable judgment and ability to maintain professional boundaries when working with clients and service providers
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution and crisis prevention/intervention skills are an asset
  • Understanding of and commitment to working within a framework of diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Experience in workshop facilitation is an asset
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and ownership of a vehicle is required due to the necessity of working at multiple locations.
  • Evening work will be required
