Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled **Automotive Body Repairer** to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in repairing and restoring damaged vehicle bodies and frames to their original condition. You will work on a variety of vehicles, using industry-standard tools and techniques to ensure high-quality repairs and customer satisfaction.
### **Key Duties & Responsibilities:**
- Inspect vehicle damage and prepare repair estimates.
- Repair dents, scratches, and collision damage using body fillers, grinders, and other tools.
- Replace or repair damaged body parts (e.g., fenders, doors, bumpers).
- Remove and install windows, trim, and interior components as needed.
- Weld, sand, and smooth repaired surfaces before refinishing.
- Operate frame straightening and alignment equipment.
- Mix and match paint colors for seamless touch-ups.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow safety protocols when handling tools and chemicals.
**Required Skills & Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as an Auto body repair.
- Knowledge of collision repair techniques and materials.
- Proficiency with tools (e.g., hydraulic jacks, welding equipment, spray guns).
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and work orders.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy parts and work in various positions.
- Certification from a vocational school or apprenticeship (preferred but not required).
- Valid driver’s license (may be required for test drives).
**Nice-to-Have Skills:**
- I-CAR or ASE certification.
- Experience with aluminum and composite repairs.
- Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., CCC ONE, Mitchell).
