Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage and determine necessary repairs
- Perform bodywork, including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening
- Utilize various tools and equipment to repair or replace damaged parts
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and masking
- Apply paint finishes using spray guns or other equipment
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets industry standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure efficient workflow
Skills
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair orders
- Knowledge of automotive painting techniques and materials is a plus
- Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
