About the Role:
Herzing College – Ottawa is seeking a motivated and student-focused Associate Director of Education (ADE) to join our Academic/Administration team. Reporting directly to the Director of Education/Academic Dean, the ADE plays a vital role in supporting student success and retention. This leadership position involves coordinating academic support services, tracking student progress, and facilitating clear communication between students and academic leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic and Administrative Coordination
· Coordinate the scheduling and documentation of academic support services, including failed courses, course retakes, and student success plans
· Maintain and update academic intervention records and student communications
Student Monitoring and Outreach
· Monitor academic performance, identify at-risk students, and initiate timely outreach
· Support early alert systems and ensure consistent follow-up
Student Engagement and Support
· Assist in delivering academic orientation and student skills-building sessions
Data Reporting and Documentation
· Compile and report accurate data on academic progress, success plan completion, and student retention
Qualifications:
· Post secondary training in education, administration, or a related field
· Experience in academic support, student services, or higher education administration
· Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Moodle, Brightspace)
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a student-centered mindset
· Experience working with diverse student populations is preferred
- Fluency in English language is required
Working Conditions:
· On-site role at the Ottawa campus
· In-person presence required
· Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required
Compensation: Starting salary range: $50,000 to $55,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
