The Assistant Product Manager supports product launches, competitive analysis, pricing strategies, and sales reporting across cross-functional teams. The role helps maintain product data, drives growth initiatives for LG’s online brand store, and facilitates communication between internal teams and external partners. This position is a development opportunity designed to build skills for advancement to Product Manager.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product Management:
▪ Assist in the preparation and execution of new product launch processes across cross-functional teams.
▪ Conduct competitive analysis and support merchandising planning efforts to enhance market positioning.
▪ Monitor market share and in-store share; identify competitive challenges through regular store visits and market intelligence gathering.
▪ Communicate regularly with the factory and HQ teams to support local product and marketing initiatives.
▪ Maintain and update internal systems to ensure accurate and current product information.
▪ Provide support for new product introduction events, including industry trade shows and internal training sessions.
▪ Support supply chain functions by analyzing PSI (Production, Sales, Inventory) by model and flagging potential issues.
Strategic Projects:
▪ Assist in the preparation of bi-weekly and monthly sales reports by gathering and analyzing data related to company targets and market activity.
▪ Support the Product Manager in developing pricing strategies and promotional plans by conducting research and compiling relevant information for key accounts.
▪ Monitor sales and market trends to identify gaps, and work with the team to develop recommendations that support sales goals and market share growth.
▪ Assist in various initiatives to support the growth and optimization of LG’s online brand store.
Performance Management:
▪ Act as a communication hub by managing and distributing incoming mail, email, and other correspondence; ensure efficient information flow across internal teams and maintain clear coordination with external departments and partner organizations.
▪ Record and prepare accurate minutes of meetings to support follow-up and accountability.
▪ Compile data, statistics, and relevant information to support research and reporting activities.
▪ Perform additional administrative duties as assigned to support team operations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
▪ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
▪ Sales/marketing or product management experience preferred; driving projects, managing and building relationships with internal and external partners, and building team spirit
▪ Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is preferred
▪ Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Direct Communication with Key Account Managers and Customers) to be the center point of all BU related communications
▪ Experience with launching new products, demonstrating i.e., leading, and providing direction to people from Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Manufacturing facilities
▪ Strong analytical skills
▪ Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
