Vice Principal
Richmond Hill Montessori Private School (RHMS) is seeking a passionate individual to join our collaborative team of dedicated educators and professionals. As Vice Principal, you will play a vital role in leading a school that embraces innovation, academic excellence, character development, and student well-being. You will have the opportunity to help shape an enriched academic program and support students in growing their responsibility and leadership skills, both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging learning environment where every student can thrive
- Effectively manage all student behaviour incidents with fairness and consistency, promoting positive growth and understanding
- Work closely with teachers and families to help students grow and succeed, providing coaching and support
- Support and lead school events, clubs, and excursions that enrich student experiences
- Assist with daily operations like scheduling, supervision, and safety to keep the school running smoothly
- Partner with the Principal and team to uphold our values and continuously improve the school community
- Bring fresh ideas by reviewing current practices and suggesting positive changes
- Immerse yourself in our school community, building meaningful connections with students, families and staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree (Honours)
- Bachelor of Education (P/J/I/S)
- Hold Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification in good standing
- Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching in an elementary classroom is preferred
- Principal’s Qualifications (PQP) Preferred
- Academic administration experience in a private or public elementary school is preferred

Start Date: Immediately
Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Additional hours will be required for school events.
Compensation Availability:
Starting Annual Salary: $120,000 for 48 weeks per school year (middle of August – middle of July), subject to experience and education.
Benefit Program: Health Spending Account for Dental/Health Benefits/Medical/Life $4200.
Group RRSP Plan: RRSP program with employer matching 10%.
