WHAT YOU’LL DO
· Support the Plant Manager and work closely with the Production Manager in overseeing daily production activities, ensuring operational efficiency and quality control.
· Plan and coordinate production schedules, balancing material availability and labor requirements.
· Optimize plant equipment and workforce utilization to increase production capacity and reduce costs.
· Collect, maintain, and analyze production data to improve efficiency and inform decision-making.
· Maintain high-quality standards while developing and implementing new processing procedures.
· Assist with logistics for all incoming and outgoing products to ensure smooth operations.
· Train, develop and collaborate with plant staff to build a strong and capable team.
· Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and implement best practices to maintain a safe work environment.
· Troubleshoot operational challenges, proactively addressing issues to minimize downtime.
· Assist as needed by operating our forklifts both inside and outside our production and cold storage areas.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
· Previous experience in seafood processing industry required.
· Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to motivate a team.
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong organizational and time management abilities.
· Experience with plant operations, or production scheduling.
· Knowledge of seafood safety regulations and processing best practices.
· Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management abilities.
· Fluent English skills; fluency in Chinese, Japanese or Vietnamese is an asset.
· A proactive mindset and ability to work well with the team in a collaborative environment.
