Overview:
V3 Preparatory Academy is seeking an energetic and dedicated Assistant Basketball Coach to join our summer basketball program. This role is perfect for aspiring coaches looking to gain hands-on experience and help student-athletes reach their potential in a competitive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and assist with daily practices and skill-building sessions
- Teach basketball fundamentals, strategies, and rules
- Motivate and mentor players during practices and games
- Evaluate player progress and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive environment
- Transport equipment and arrive punctually for all sessions
- Support game-day operations, including setup and breakdown
Requirements:
- Experience coaching or playing competitive basketball (NCAA/USport/CCAA preferred)
- NCCP certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and access to a car
- Ability to work Monday–Friday, 9am–4pm, plus weekends for games
- Clear vulnerable sector/police background check
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of FIBA rules is an asset

Season: July–August (potential to extend)
Part-time
On-site parking, fixed weekly schedule
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months
Pay: $16.55-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 27.5 per week
