About the Role
Zellers is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Area Manager to oversee and inspire a group of high-profile fashion retail stores across Edmonton. As an Area Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the success of your district. You’ll be responsible for maximizing performance, coaching your management teams, and ensuring operational excellence while bringing vision and leadership to every store you oversee.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, motivate, and develop store management teams to exceed sales targets and deliver outstanding customer experiences.
- Recruit, train, and retain top talent, building strong teams and succession plans for future growth.
- Drive business performance through effective planning, goal setting, and analysis of sales trends.
- Oversee store operations, including merchandising, visual standards, and compliance with company policies.
- Monitor payroll, shrink, and audit compliance to ensure profitability.
- Set clear expectations and hold teams accountable for results.
- Foster a positive and engaging work environment where employees feel supported and empowered.
What We’re Looking For
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in retail management (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of multi-store management experience in fashion retail (District/Area Manager level).
- A proven track record of driving sales and achieving business goals.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- Business-minded, organized, and skilled in problem-solving.
- Ability to inspire teams and build a culture of performance and accountability.
- Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
