Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting appliances to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will interact with clients during deliveries. The Delivery Driver must be able to handle heavy lifting and operate a commercial vehicle efficiently.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and delivery confirmations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
- Utilize forklifts or other equipment for moving heavy items when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for clients.
- Experience in warehouse operations is a plus, including familiarity with inventory management practices.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks as required by the job.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential; additional certifications for operating forklifts are advantageous.
