Job Title: Apparel Store Manager (with Printing & Embroidery Experience)
About the Role:
We are opening a new store so we are seeking a experienced and motivated Apparel Store Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our retail apparel store. The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise in printing on clothing and other merchandise, including heat transfer printing, screen printing, sublimation, and embroidery techniques.
This is a dynamic role requiring strong leadership, deep technical skills in garment customization, and a proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and manage a team effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily store operations, staff scheduling, and inventory control
- Oversee and execute printing jobs on various apparel and promotional products
- Heat Press / Heat Transfer
- Embroidery Machine Operation
- Direct-to-Garment (DTG) and/or Sublimation Printing (if applicable)
- Ensure high-quality production standards and on-time order fulfillment
- Train and supervise staff in both retail service and printing techniques
- Manage customer orders, including custom requests and B2B clients
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and ensure safe operating practices
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Monitor sales targets, product trends, and suggest improvements or new offerings
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in printing on apparel and accessories
- Proven leadership experience in a retail or production environment
- Strong knowledge of heat transfer, vinyl cutting, and embroidery software/machines
- Set up and operate screen printing presses (Both automatic and Manual )
- Ability to operate and maintain relevant printing/embroidery equipment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to lift moderately heavy materials and stand for extended periods
Preferred Skills
- Experience with design software such as CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, or similar
- Familiarity with e-commerce and order management systems
- Bilingual (English/French) is a plus
