Job summary
As a Analyst, you will be responsible for providing task-focused support to manage user access and enhance the end-user experience across digital reporting platforms. Responsible for day-to-day operations such as account creation, permission assignment, and access troubleshooting, the role works directly with internal and external users to resolve issues in a timely, customer-focused manner. It also supports user communications, maintains documentation, and contributes to process automation, combining administrative, customer service, and analytical functions to ensure smooth platform operation.
Key responsibilities
- Applies established processes to support the daily operations of digital reporting platforms (e.g., user access, permissions, document filing, and platform maintenance).
- Resolves user access issues by communicating directly with internal and external platform users daily and provide troubleshooting support with usernames, passwords, and permission-related inquiries, in a timely and professional manner.
- Works with project leads to respond to access-related service requests from Health Quality Alberta teams and external stakeholders.
- Brings forward technical concerns or user feedback to support ongoing platform improvements and user experience.
- Assists with the maintenance and preparation of user lists, reports, and platform usage summaries as needed.
- Supports document organization and data entry tasks to ensure reporting consistency and traceability.
- Contributes to basic validation and quality assurance (QA) of reporting-related outputs in collaboration with team members.
- Provides input into how data access processes and related documentation can be improved or streamlined.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., health information, business administration, information systems, or a health-related discipline).
- Experience supporting users in a digital or reporting platform environment, preferably in a healthcare or public sector context.
- Familiarity with access and identity management concepts (e.g., user accounts, permissions, password resets).
- Experience working on multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience with administrative or support tasks in platforms such as SharePoint, Tableau Server, or similar systems is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Experience using SAS and SAS Viya, Python, and VBA is an asset.
- Ability to follow established processes while identifying opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a customer service–oriented approach.
Working conditions
· Willing to travel throughout Alberta, with occasional travel out of province.
· Willing to work in a fast-paced work environment that requires flexibility and openness to change.
· Location: Calgary, Alberta
· Hybrid work environment: three days in the office (mandatory).
· Anticipated start date: August 1, 2025.
