Overview
We are hiring an Agricultural Equipment Technician Apprentice in any stage of apprenticeship, including someone just out of high school who is looking to begin a career in agriculture and mechanical work.
This is an interesting workplace with a wide variety of responsibilities. We offer similar wages and benefits as all the other dealerships, but working with us is not the standard dealer apprenticeship or career.
We work on agricultural and construction equipment of all makes and models. You will not be doing the same thing over and over again. A high amount of experience is not required. We are looking for someone with good work ethic and common sense who is willing to learn and be part of a team that likes to work hard and win together.
Responsibilities & Skills
- Standard mechanical work including diagnosis, repairs and maintenance
- Rebuilding used equipment and components
- Complex frame repair and replacements
- Dismantling salvage equipment
- Operating heavy equipment and rigging loads
- Maintaining shop equipment
- Welding
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace and following safety protocols
- Lifting over 50lbs safely
- Working independently and with a team
- Being able to learn and follow instructions
- Overtime is required during peak farming seasons. There is some flexibility for work hours during the off-season.
- Responsibilities depend on the season and your interests and ambitions
$30 to $40 / hour with overtime and bonus pay. Our shop is brand new, and we provide tools. Only candidates currently located in Canada will be considered.
