SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform sales duties diligently and effectively to ensure monthly aftermarket sales targets are met.
- Develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with established customers through close management of accounts and attention to their aftermarket needs.
- Develop new accounts through sales prospecting.
- Know the competition, their sales activities, and price points and outsell them using our name and the quality of our products.
- Maintain a high level of aftermarket products, application and general industry knowledge through association membership, publications, trade show attendance, training opportunities, etc.
- Maintain an ongoing record of all outstanding aftermarket sales prospects, the current status of these prospects, and forecast of all sales activities in your area
- Participate in the field testing of equipment and other products as required
- Work cooperatively with the Customer Service, Technical Service, Account Manager and Product Management groups in a spirit of team work in order to address areas needing improvement and customer concerns.
- Domestic travel is a requirement of this position. Occasional international travel may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
- 2-5 years related work experience in a customer focused / sales oriented capacity.
- University degree or College Diploma in Business Administration or Engineering is an asset.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with MRP systems
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer responsive environment
- Proven ability to achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Comfortable in both a shop and office atmosphere
- Experience with heavy equipment or familiarity with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components is an asset.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written; professional phone manner; polished and professional presence in front of customer.
- Excellent computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project and Outlook, and equivalent e-mail skills)
- Strong team player with strong work ethic and commitment to achieve company goals and ensure customer satisfaction
- Sound internal and external communication skills
- Must be a dynamic, personable, self-starter able to work within well defined guidelines with minimal supervision
