Responsibilities:
This Temporary Admissions Assistant position works directly with the Admissions Manager to support admissions processing and is responsible for:
1. Review and evaluate applications to ensure admissions requirements have been met.

Minimum Salary: CAD $26.78/Hr. Maximum Salary: CAD $32.73/Hr.

This Temporary Admissions Assistant position works directly with the Admissions Manager to support admissions processing and is responsible for:
1. Review and evaluate applications to ensure admissions requirements have been met.
2. Assess the admission requirements for a student application in accordance with the NYIT Vancouver
admissions requirements.
3. Research, review, and analyze admissions criteria from national and international institutions.
4. Update and track files for their completeness as documents are collected Responding to inquiries about
applications status.
5. Receive mailed official documents and update them in the system.
6. Prepare and send out Eligibility for Admission Letters and Acceptance Letter Package.
7. Follow up with applications or agents to ensure that applications are completed with the required
supporting documentation.
8. Coordinate and respond to inquiries about the admission process or status of applications with the
recruitment team, agents, and students.
9. Provide training and directions to student assistants.
10. Generate reports as required.
11. Generate and modify Admissions Letters (Checklist/EFA/LOA/IRCC), if needed.
12. Manage tasks such as answering calls, writing reports, and dealing with queries as well as complaints.
13. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Detail-oriented, organized, and has previous experience preferably in an educational environment.
- Knowledge of foreign credentials and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
- Good working knowledge of word processing software (Word) and spreadsheets (Excel) – knowledge of Slate system would be an advantage but must be willing to be trained.
- Must have excellent organizational skills with some background in records management preferred.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Good working knowledge of Slate, Outlook, TEAMS, Word, and Excel would be preferred.
This is a temporary mat-leave position until September 2026.
