Hospitality Emporium is a fast-growing business serving the hospitality industry with premium products and top-tier customer service. We’re looking for a creative and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team this summer under the Canada Summer Jobs program.
This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in office administration, customer service, and digital marketing, including social media management.
Canada Summer Jobs – Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must meet all of the following:
- Be between 15 and 30 years old at the start of employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person with official refugee protection
- Be currently enrolled in, or have recently completed (within the last 2 years), a Canadian secondary or post-secondary program
Note: International students are not eligible under this program.
Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and professional service in all client communications.
- Make outbound calls, including cold calls, to assist in marketing or client outreach.
- Answer phones professionally using a multi-line system; take and relay messages.
- Manage daily task lists, track progress and deadlines.
- Manage and grow the company’s social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X).
- Create and post engaging, brand-consistent content using tools like Canva.
- Monitor social media performance and engagement metrics.
- Contribute ideas for improving digital outreach and customer acquisition
- Assist with promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with social media platforms (for business) is an asset.
- Familiarity with content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Meta Business Suite) preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- A positive attitude toward learning new tasks and suggesting ideas for improvement, particularly in marketing and advertising efforts to support the company’s growth.
- A collaborative work style with an ability to communicate clearly and work well with colleagues in various departments.
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 1 - 2 months
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
