Scotia Harvest Inc is a vertically integrated groundfish and scallop harvesting and groundfish processing facility located at 12358 Highway 217, Seabrook, Nova Scotia in a state of the art 46,000 square foot processing facility.
Term: Extended Maternity Leave Coverage
Expected End Date: April 30, 2027
Schedule: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (occasional flexibility as needed)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable AR/AP Clerk to join our administrative team and support the financial health of the organization. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of both receivables and payables and is ideal for a motivated individual with a knack for numbers and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Process and record accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables and manage collections.
- Prepare manual cheques, process and record bank deposits, and apply manual cheque payments to client accounts.
- Prepare logistics paperwork for shipments and deliveries.
- Send invoices to clients via email, fax, or mail.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner.
- Assist with month-end close activities and general ledger reconciliations.
- Support the finance and administration teams with additional tasks as required.

Education:
- Secondary School Diploma (Needed)
- Post-Secondary Diploma (Recommended)
Experience:
- Prior experience in accounts payable and/or receivable is an asset, but not required — we are willing to train the right candidate.
