The Role: As an Accounting & Payroll Clerk on our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our accounting department. Your meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and analytical mindset will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile and balance accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless information flow.
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting department.
- Maintain payroll records and manage changes in the payroll system.
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to payroll schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll reports, including tax deductions and employee benefits.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll data and sensitive information.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce
Preferred Qualifications (not required but a plus):
- Payroll designation (e.g., Certified Payroll Manager) or related certificates.
- Relevant coursework or certification in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
