Jones & O'Connell LLP Chartered Professional Accountants is a public accounting firm located in downtown St. Catharines. We offer a wide range of financial services including: Accounting, Auditing, Corporate and Personal Tax Compliance and Planning, Financial Advice and General Consulting, to clients in various industry sectors across the Niagara Region and other geographic regions. We are looking for a skilled Accounting Technician to perform corporate year end and personal tax functions.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare Compilation financial statements for small businesses
- Prepare corporate tax returns
- Prepare personal tax returns
- Bookkeeping services including bank reconciliations, data entry, HST reporting, T4 and other forms
Key Skills
- Working Knowledge of Sage 50, QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online is an asset
- Self starter with a strong commitment to meeting client deadlines and an attention to detail, together with the ability to work directly with clients in a comfortable and professional manner.
- Proficient in a Windows based software environment and Microsoft Office
- Excellent time management, ability to multi-task, prioritize
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Efficient, accurate, reliable
- Actively listens, clarifies, understands
Experience:
- College diploma and experience with tax preparation is preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 – 44 per week
