Summary:

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, payroll, data entry, and recordkeeping. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions and maintaining up-to-date financial records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices for payment to local suppliers/ service providers
  • Process payroll for hourly employees
  • Process wire payments to overseas suppliers
  • Daily check receipts from customers
  • Monthly bank reconciliation
  • Monthly entry of standard journals and journal entries
  • Monthly calculation of volume rebates to customers
  • Year end G/L accounts analysis and preparation of schedules for auditors
  • Ad hoc works as needed.
  • Other tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Business Administration
  • 3 years of experience in a similar accounting or clerical role
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Netsuite, SAP, or Sage etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry
